FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment and can be used in flow measurement of liquids in chemical, oil and gas processing, food, pharmaceutical and other industries of liquefied gas and aromatic hydrocarbons. Electron-optical ball-type flowmeter of liquid (EOBFL) consists of a housing with an annular channel in which a ball having zero buoyancy in liquid can freely rotate, jet-directing apparatus and an electrical signal pickup assembly comprising a light emitter and a photodetector arranged directly in the annular channel zone and mounted at an angle to each other so that their optical axes converge to a point on the light-reflecting surface of the ball, or placed in the secondary electronic converter and optically connected to the annular channel by means of fibre-optic light guides installed at an angle to each other so that their optical axes converge to a point on the light-reflecting surface of the ball. Light emitter used is a light-emitting diode, and the photodetector used is a phototransistor with the possibility of fixing the modes of their operation with two resistors taking into account the threshold voltages of operation and release of the Schmitt trigger, the input of which is connected to the collector of the phototransistor.

EFFECT: ensuring independence of operation of the electron-optical circuit of the EOBFL from transparency and temperature of the liquid by means of suppressing the possibility of trigger effect and self-generation in the circuit.
