FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. A method for producing and storing anatomical museum wet gross specimens involves water flushing of the specimen and specimen fixation by full immersion into a chemical container with refreshing the chemical; when preparing the gross specimen, it is fixed by immersing it into 10% aqueous glyoxal by volume making min. 10 times as much as the volume of the gross specimen; further, the chemical is refreshed three times on the 7th, 14th and 21st days with the gross specimen flushed with water every time taken from the chemical; for museum specimens fixed with 10% formalin, formalin is poured off with the containers refilled on the 14th, 28th and 42nd day with 10% aqueous glyoxal.
EFFECT: invention enables preserving a colour and organoleptic properties of soft tissues of the gross specimens stored in the preservative fluid.
