SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and is applicable to diagnose early chronic renal disease. The patient's blood is analysed to measure lipocalin-2 and albumin; a lipocalin-2/albumin ratio is derived, and if the value is more than 0.27, chronic renal disease is diagnosed.

EFFECT: technique enables diagnosing early renal involvement with no need to take blood purposely and use invasive diagnostic techniques.
