FIELD: physics, optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an apparatus for structuring a solid body surface coated with a solid material and the resultant packing foil. The method includes forming a structure of at least one region of a solid body surface using a first laser, preferably an excimer laser (1), having pulse duration in the nanosecond range. A second corrugated structure is applied on said structure using a second laser (15), preferably having femtosecond pulse duration. Formation of the structure using the excimer laser is carried out according to a pattern projection technique, and formation of the structure using the laser with femtosecond pulse duration is carried out according to a focusing technique.
EFFECT: invention provides rational production of very complex, highly counterfeit secure identification markings and/or aesthetically appealing colour samples that are effective in terms of optical diffraction.
