FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to medical devices for supporting tissues and systems for medication delivery, in particular to extending devices, implanted into cavity of tubular organ of animal or human organism, supporting organ in open state and (or) serving for delivery of medicinal preparations or agents. Flexible tubular stent has proximal and distant terminal parts and cylindrical shape with luminal and abluminal surfaces and thickness between them. Cylindrical shape determines longitudinal axis. Stent includes spiral section and at least one connecting element. Spiral section has multitude of longitudinally oriented support elements and multitude of oriented on circumference perimeter hinge elements, connecting adjacent support elements in such a way that tape, wrapped around longitudinal axis in fact by spiral, with formation of multitude of spiral coils, is formed. Each support element has in fact rectangular shape with opposite, longitudinally oriented long sides and opposite, oriented on circumference perimeter short sides. Each hinge element is connected to adjacent by circumference support element along its short side. At least one connecting element passes between longitudinally adjacent spiral coils of tape and is connected to short side of longitudinally adjacent support elements, but is not connected to longitudinally adjacent hinge elements.
EFFECT: stent possesses good flexibility and manoeuvrability with simultaneous preservation of radial strength, required for supporting free vessel patency, and can be manufactured by any suitable method.
