MAIN UNIT OF STENT DELIVERY SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61F2/966

Abstract RU 2709269 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine. Disclosed is a method of controlling a stent delivery system within a patient's vessel, according to which a catheter is placed in a vessel, the catheter comprising a cavity defining an axis extending between the proximal end and the distal end such that the distal end of the catheter is positioned at the point of treatment. Main assembly is placed inside catheter cavity, wherein main assembly comprises an elongated element comprising a distal end, an intermediate portion comprising a distal end disposed at the distal end of the element, a stent having a distal portion and supported by an intermediate portion, and a distal cover connected to the distal end of the element and configured to rotate about the longitudinal axis relative to the element, and is located inside the cavity so that the distal end of the intermediate portion is located in the axial direction close to the distal end of the catheter, and at least a portion of the distal cover extends inside the cavity in a radial direction between the distal end of the intermediate portion and the distal end of the catheter. Main assembly is then moved in a distal direction relative to the catheter to widen the distal portion of the stent, wherein said extension pushes the distal cover from the intermediate portion. Finally, the main assembly is removed into the catheter in the proximal direction so that the intermediate portion is located in the axial direction close to the distal end of the catheter, and the distal cover is located outside the above space. Disclosed are embodiments of the method, differing by those used to control receptions.

EFFECT: technical result consists in performing delivery, release and expansion of stent to provide support for vessel.
