FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method involves build-up of a temperature-dependence plot of structure-sensitive characteristic of plates as per results of short-term tests in the range of 400 to 1000°C and determination on it of a representative section corresponding to temperature interval of maximum serviceability. In order to reduce error of measurements at determination of maximum serviceability temperature as structure-sensitive characteristic there is used electrical conductivity of a hard-alloy cutting plate, and as the representative section of the detected temperature dependence there is taken a temperature interval at which electrical conductivity is minimum.
EFFECT: reduction of measurement error.
