FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises plotting temperature dependence of plate structure-sensitivity characteristic proceeding from the results of short-term tests at 400 to 1000°C to reveal in this range a distinctive section corresponding to maximum efficiency temperature. As said structural sensitivity characteristic used is mean length of cracks originated in said tests in carbide plates while temperature range wherein said mean length is minimum is taken to be distinctive section at said plot.
EFFECT: simplified method.
