FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises the cutting plate structural-sensitive characteristics temperature dependence plotting according to the short-term tests results in the range from 400 to 1,000 °C and corresponding to the maximum performance temperature range characteristic area determining thereon. Placing the carbide cutting plate into the self-oscillating circuit coil and selecting the said coil EMF as the structural-sensitive characteristic, and as the characteristic area on the detected temperature dependence, a temperature range is taken, in which the self-oscillating circuit coil EMF has a 5 % deviation from the maximum values.
EFFECT: enabling reduction in the carbide cutting plates structural-sensitive characteristics values determining labor input, as well as the use of the structural-sensitive characteristics changes non-contact determination, which allows testing on coated samples.
