FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: suction valve is made integral with the plunger and arranged at the plunger end. It consists of a shutoff element and seat composed of the plunger end surface. The spring thrusts the valve against the seat. Sea water is used as the working fluid. The valve shutoff element is made of sea water proof polymer, i.e. VICTREX PEEK polyarylketone ether. Valve seat is made of antirust titanium alloy. Antifriction pair VICTREX PEEK-nitrated titanium is used to make the bearings of plungers with suction valves, plunger cylinder units, and the pump antifriction bearings. The valve sliding over the seat guide makes the friction pair operating without lubing and corrosion in aggressive sea water. This hollow plunger has the suction valve seat composed of a hollow rod screwed therein.

EFFECT: better operation of pump plunger suction valve, higher antirust and antifriction properties, higher pump efficiency.
