SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a microwave attenuator. The microwave attenuator containing three resistors, three field transistors with a Schottky barrier, two pieces of a transmission line with the length equal to one fourth of the wave length in the transmission line, and wave resistance exceeding wave resistance of transmission lines at attenuator inlet and outlet, one constant control voltage source, as well as transmission lines at the microwave attenuator inlet and outlet; additionally, the fourth resistor, the fourth field transistor with a Schottky barrier and the second constant control voltage source are introduced.
EFFECT: reduction of direct microwave losses and enlargement of functional capabilities of a microwave attenuator.
