SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electronics and can be used in integrated circuits (IC) of digital-to-analogue converters (DAC). The device comprises a segmented N-bit DAC, which includes a K-bit DAC1 of higher-order bits, consisting of 2K-1 identical segments, and an N-K-bit DAC0 of lower-order bits, connected to a common reference voltage source Vref and having a common output which forms the output of the DAC, a calibration unit comprising a DAC2 of a calibration current source, connected to the output of the DAC; the calibration unit determines codes of the DAC2 which supplement the current of each segment of the DAC1 to the current of the reference segment at the calibration step, and during operation transmits to the DAC2 error compensation codes of the DAC1, calculated for each value of the higher-order bit code based on codes of the DAC2, determined during calibration.

EFFECT: improved integral nonlinearity and differential nonlinearity of a DAC IC owing to use of automatic calibration.
