FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: method for gasification of carbon-containing materials in gas generator includes loading of carbon-containing materials to the gas generator, delivery of gas containing molecular oxygen and water optionally. Total quantity of supplied oxygen varies from 0.75 up to 3.0 pounds per pound of total quantity of carbon loaded to the gas generator. Ash containing carbon is received in the gas generator, whereat the above ash contains less than 10% of carbon in ash; and gas containing carbon monoxide and hydrogen is generated; further the above gas is treated at temperature of 954°C-1927°C in presence of molecular oxygen with generation of crude synthetic gas containing carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon. The obtained crude synthetic gas contains per 0.227kg of carbon less per 28.3 standard m3 of the obtained crude synthetic gas.

EFFECT: invention allows development of method for synthetic gas manufacturing with maximum generation of energy or chemical products at maintained low quantity of unreacted carbon and carbon black in crude synthetic gas and carbon in ash.
