FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: this invention is referred to the method for gasification of carbon-containing materials with production of synthetic gas. The method for gasification of carbon-containing materials in gas generator includes loading of carbon-containing materials to gas generator, delivery of gas containing molecular oxygen, delivery of gaseous carbon dioxide and water optionally; at that total quantity of supplied oxygen varies from 0.75 up to 3.0 pounds per pound of total quantity of carbon loaded to gas generator; thereat in gas generator carbon-containing ash is received, and the above ash contains less than 10% of carbon; and gas containing carbon monoxide, hydrogen and tar is generated; further the above gas is treated at temperature of 954-1927°C in presence of molecular oxygen with generation of raw synthetic gas containing carbon monoxide, hydrogen and carbon in synthetic gas. The produced raw synthetic gas contains less than 8 g of carbon in synthetic gas per standard cubic meter of the produced raw synthetic gas.
EFFECT: invention allows development of method for synthetic gas manufacturing with maximum generation of energy or chemical products at maintained low quantity of unreacted carbon and carbon black in crude synthetic gas and carbon in ash.
