ORTHOPAEDIC CORSET AND METHOD FOR THEREOF MANUFACTURING Russian patent published in 2015 - IPC A61F5/02

Abstract RU 2569044 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: orthopaedic corset contains corset according to trunk profile with fixation elements and as minimum one element of spine deformation correction in form of cutout, located from the opposite side in the area of expected correction above or below deformation, providing release in the area of deformation. Corset is made in accordance with trunk profile from thermoplastic, ergonomic to patient's body material. Corset is provided with other element of spine deformation correction, made on form of as minimum one projection, formed in the area of spine deformity apex, providing pressure in the area of deformation. Corset contains a pair of electrodes of as minimum one channel of electrostimulator, placed under patient's clothes. Electrodes are fixed on internal surface of corset above and below projection, corresponding to spine deformation apex. Method for manufacturing orthopaedic corset includes preliminary heating blank for corset from thermoplastic ergonomic to patient's body material to 70-100 degrees. After 30-40 seconds blank surface cools, and material is overlaid on patient's body. After that, corset is formed in accordance with patient's body, simultaneously projection in the area of spine deformation apex, providing its correction, is formed on corset by imprint on corset sleeve by pressure of doctor's hands. Place of cutout is formed on the opposite side of corset sleeve above/below apex of thoracic spine deformation. Places for installation of electrostimulator electrodes and places for installation of elements for corset fixation on patient's body are determined. To carry out step-by-step correction the area of imprint of spine deformation apex is heated in order to determine new location of correcting elements: projection and cutout.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of spine deformation treatment due to creation of orthopaedic corset of optimal rigidity with application of thermoplastic and ergonomic to patient's body material, as well as simplification, acceleration, cost reduction and provision of efficiency and accuracy of orthopaedic corset correction in case of change of spine deformation parameters with step-by-step achievement of curative effect.
