FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to manufacturing of heat-resistant steels for bearings working at temperature up to 500°C and used in aviation gas turbine engines and helicopter gearboxes. Steel contains carbon, silicon, manganese, chrome, tungsten, molybdenum, vanadium, nickel, niobium and iron at the following ratio in wt %: carbon - 0.7-0.85, manganese - 0.1-0.4, silicon - 0.3-0.5, chromium - 4.5-5.5, tungsten - 1-1.5, vanadium - 0.5-1.0, molybdenum - 3-3.5, nickel - 0.15-0.4, niobium - 0.1-0.3, iron making the rest.
EFFECT: increased production effectiveness during hot plastic deformation, absence of defects during forging and rolling, and high homogeneity of structure.
