FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for space-time processing of images based on arrays of photosensitive charge-coupled devices comprises space-time processing of an image in the form of a convolution of the image, projected on an array of photosensitive charge-coupled devices (PCCD), with a pulsed characteristic of the realised space-time filter. Space-time convolution of the image is carried out on two matrix PCCD. Image convolution with positive readings of the pulsed characteristic is performed at one of the matrices and image convolution with negative readings is performed at the second matrix. The difference between signals from outputs of the PCCD is generated as the overall output.
EFFECT: enabling adaptation to the illumination level without any limits on the value of readings of the pulsed characteristic when selecting fixed and moving low-contrast objects on a non-stationary background during space-time processing of images.
