FIELD: instrumentation.
SUBSTANCE: method to measure moisture of wood consists in the fact that a source and a receiver of IR-radiation are installed across wood fibres to the selected depth, the flow of IR-radiation is measured, which passed through wood, received measurements are compared to the previously determined calibration dependence, which connects variation of the flow of IR-radiation that passed through wood with wood moisture detected by weight method at fixed moments of time, and wood moisture is calculated.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to determine absolute moisture of wood and to increase quality of wood drying.
