REDUCTION OF CATALYST IN THE FORM OF IONIC LIQUID Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC B01J38/10

Abstract RU 2759569 C1

FIELD: zero waste industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for reducing catalysts. A method for reducing a spent catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid by removing a mixed polymer from a spent catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid is described, and the method includes: operation of a reaction vessel under conditions sufficient for the hydrocarbon conversion reaction to occur in the presence of a catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid and providing a reaction product; separation of the reaction product into the hydrocarbon phase and the spent catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid, wherein the spent catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid contains a mixed polymer; bringing the spent catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid into contact with hydrogen in the reduction zone under conditions sufficient to reduce the amount of mixed polymer in the spent catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid, to obtain a reduced product; separation of the reduced product into a liquid phase containing a reduced catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid and a vapor phase containing hydrogen and hydrogen chloride; separation of the hydrocarbon phase into multiple streams of liquid hydrocarbons; and isolation of the vapor phase from the streams of liquid hydrocarbons; compressing part of the vapor phase in a single-stage compressor to obtain a compressed vapor phase; and the combination of the compressed vapor phase with the spent catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid, and the compressed vapor phase is not passed through the HCl separation process between compression in a single-stage compressor and combination with the spent catalyst in the form of an ionic liquid.

EFFECT: reduction of the catalyst.
