FIELD: packaging industry.

SUBSTANCE: in method of automatic control of the level and density of fuel in the fuel tank, two pressure sensors are placed in the fuel tank at a fixed distance one above the other, the value of zero offset of the upper and lower pressure sensors is recorded, when the fuel level is below their levels, the pressure values of upper and lower pressure sensors are recorded, when the fuel level is above the level of the upper pressure sensor, the pressure sensors are placed symmetrically relative to the vertical axis of symmetry of the fuel tank at a fixed distance from each other horizontally and vertically, on the surface of the tank the inclination angle sensor is placed, the value of the angle of inclination of the fuel tank relative to the ground surface is recorded at the place of installation of the pressure sensors, the density and the level of fuel is calculated based on the angle of inclination of the tank by the formulas described in the invention.

EFFECT: possibility of measuring the density and the level of fuel in fuel tanks of the vehicle, automatic compensation of additional measurement error when changing the angle of inclination of the fuel tank with respect to the ground surface, the automation of the measurement process.
