SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device for preparing beverages from a substance in a capsule by flowing fluid through the substance due to centrifugal forces. The capsule for insertion into the device comprises a housing, its lower end and an open end spaced from each other in the axial direction, an upper wall for closing the housing at the open end in a direction transverse to the axis, a cavity for the substance of the beverage, preferably roasted and ground coffee. The capsule comprises a flange-like rim projecting outwardly from the housing, provided with an annular flange part extending around the axis, and a thrust ring projecting in the transverse direction and the longitudinal direction beyond the flange part and designed to set a predetermined pressure. The thrust ring is in contact with the valve element of the device for the beverage preparing, forming a valve of limiting the flow of the centrifuged beverage flowing out of the capsule. The radial distance from the central axis of the capsule to the thrust ring for setting a predetermined pressure is in the range from 25 mm to 30 mm.
