FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: capsule for preparing a predetermined amount of coffee beverage includes a cup-shaped body with side walls and a bottom, containing a flange-like rim protruding outward from the body, provided with an annular peripheral flange portion and a flange portion adjoining the body. Flange portion adjoining the body is made of a corrugated shape in the form of at least two annular projections having a height of at least 0.6 mm, preferably 0.8–1.5 mm and located at an angle to each other. Body and its flange part are made of aluminum. Body has spiral ribs.
EFFECT: invention reduces the beverage preparation time and the tightness of the capsule.
