FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engine fuel feed systems. It discloses the ICE control process. Claimed process comprises the fuel compensation factor (FCF) proceeding from oxygen transducer current signal relative to expected signal of said transducer for known fuel on the basis of fuel and air amounts fed into the engine. Note here that FCF represents a fuel amount injected at current level of the engine power output divided by designed amount of diesel fuel required for maintenance of the engine current power output. Said FCF is used to correct the fuel amount injected into the engine by correcting the injection end moment at invariable fuel injection pulse start moment. Claimed process allows the compensation for lower OBF power capacity compared with that of diesel fuel by adjustment of fuel injection pulses to up the amount of fuel fed into the cylinder at invariable other ICE control system parameters.
EFFECT: simplified ICE calibration, sufficient efficiency and permissible level of toxicity in application of OBF.
