FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: thymoquinone is extracted from a sample, and the extract is filtered and centrifuged. Analysis is performed by capillary electrophoresis in a quartz capillary with an effective length of 0.5 m and an inner diameter of 75 mcm. Analysis is performed using an aqueous electrolyte containing 0.4% boric acid, 0.05% sodium tetraborate, 6% isopropanol and 6% ethanol, with a positive voltage polarity. Analysis results are recorded using a photometric detector at wavelength 254 nm.

EFFECT: invention simplifies the sample preparation process when performing express analysis.
