FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of determining content of salicylic acid in plant tissue provides for biological sample preparation, centrifugation, and is characterized by that aqueous 0.1M sodium hydrocarbonate solution is used to extract salicylic acid from plant tissue and quantitative determination of salicylic acid in form of sodium salt is carried out on a capillary electrophoresis system in a quartz capillary, effective length of 0.5 m, inner diameter of 75 mcm, using for analysis of aqueous conducting electrolyte containing 0.33 wt. %. boric acid, 0.05 wt. % sodium tetraborate 0.5 % vol. isopropanol (pH 9.3) at positive polarity of voltage and detection wavelength of 254 nm.
EFFECT: invention relates to analytical chemistry of phenol carboxylic acids, particularly to a method of determining salicylic acid in plant sprouts.
