FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of precision reflectors from fibrous composites for spacecraft antennas. Precision reflector consists of working lining made of polymer composite. Note here that said lining is composed of unidirectional tapes laid line-in-line and provided with facetted stiffness element fitted on lining rear surface by glue and on angle-pieces. Reflector fabrication process comprises making of said working lining on mandrels. Note here that one precision mandrel is used with linear thermal expansion factor approximating to that of lining filler material. Said lining is composed of unidirectional tapes laid line-in-line to make the face lining. Then, facetted stiffness element is fitted on lining rear surface.
EFFECT: higher precision of fabrication of reflector working surface, decreased weight and accelerated fabrication cycle.
