FIELD: control of internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to detection and suppression of premature ignition in certain operating modes of engines with high compression ratio or in which supercharging is used. Said technical result is achieved by fact, that premature ignition at high rpm is detected by simultaneous or sequential changes of integrated output signal of detonation sensor in any detonation interval, as well as in a certain interval of premature ignition. Premature ignition at high rpm is eliminated by shutting off fuel feed into the cylinder and/or limiting engine load to reduce the risk of uncontrolled premature ignition.
EFFECT: technical result is provision of effective detection and suppression of premature ignition at high rotation frequency.
