FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicles engines. Engine control method, in which suppression of premature ignition in cylinder is carried out based on parameter change rate in time, describing air charge in cylinder. Suppression includes fuel mix enrichment only of such cylinder, where premature ignition is detected if parameter change rate exceeds threshold value. Also, mixture in other cylinders is enriched, if parameter change rate is below threshold value. In another version presence of premature ignition sign is generated of steady-state mode in cylinder at first and second states, when sensor output signal exceeds first threshold level. Also performing premature ignition detection threshold correction for first cylinder based on air charge in first cylinder change rate.
EFFECT: premature ignition is prevented.
