FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine control systems of a vehicle in response to detecting abnormal fuel combustion. Methods and systems for suppressing detonation and/or premature ignition are proposed. Each of the lag of the ignition timing, cylinder enrichment and engine load limitation unit is adjusted based on the output of the knock sensor generated in a single determined angular rotation range of the crankshaft, and not on the basis of the output signal of the knock sensor, formed outside a certain angular rotation range of the crankshaft. Severity of the suppressive actions is adjusted proportionally to the intensity of the output signal of the knock sensor, the severity of the suppressive action increasing as the intensity of the output signal of the knock sensor increases.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accuracy of determining and distinguishing (from detonation) premature ignition in the engine of the vehicle.
