FIELD: inorganic chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing an aqueous colloidal solution of silver sulphide involves preparing solutions of silver nitrate, sodium sulphide and a stabilizer. Stabilizer solution and sodium sulphide solution are added to the silver nitrate solution at room temperature. Stabilizer used is a sodium silicate solution in weight ratio (mg/mg): Na2SiO3:Ag(I) = 0.74-3.70; Na2S:Ag(I) = 0.02-0.22 and concentration of Ag (I) = 0.43-2.16 mg/ml.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain stable aqueous colloidal solutions of silver sulphide without using toxic substances.
