FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: mixed oxide represents ironoxide-zirconiumoxide mixed oxide, which contains iron, zirconium and rare-earth element. Total content of Fe2O3, ZrO2 and rare-earth element oxide constitutes not less than 90 wt %, content of iron oxide in calculation on Fe2O3 constitutes from 10 to 90 wt %, and absolute value of covariance of COV(Fe, Zr + X) of mixed oxide, which was subjected to burning in atmosphere at temperature, higher or equal 900°C, for 5 hours or more, determined by the following formulae (1)-(3), constitutes not more than 20:
(in formula Ii(Fe), Ii(Zr) and Ii(X) respectively represent ratio of intensities of X-ray radiation of iron, zirconium and rare-earth element, measured in point "i" of measurement (where i = from 1 to n), to 100% intensities of respective elements, measured at subjection of mixed oxide to X-ray analysis by means of EPMA (WDX: dispersion X-ray spectral analysis), where Rav(Fe) and Rav(Zr+X) represent average values of Ri(Fe) and Ri(Zr+X) respectively in all points "n" of measurements).
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain mixed oxide with high oxygen-accumulating ability without cerium application.
