FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalysts cleaning exhaust gases, in particular to a catalytic article containing a substrate having a washcoat type coating, a method for obtaining a washcoat type coating, as well as a method of cleaning exhaust gases, which includes contacting exhaust gases with a catalytic article. Product contains a substrate having a washcoat type coating on the substrate. Coating comprises a catalyst component having a first average (D50) particle size, and a functional binding component having a second average (D50) particle size of 10 nm to 1000 nm, wherein the ratio of the first average (D50) particle size to the second average particle size (D50) is greater than 10:1, where the washcoat type coating has porosity in range of 10 to 50 %, measured by scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a coating which is sufficiently porous to allow passage of the processed exhaust gas stream.
