FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biochemistry, particularly to a method for animal cell cryopreservation. The method is based on using a collagen cell carrier having a special composition, as well as specific thickness and respective mechanical properties preserved after defrostation. Using this collagen cell carrier creates an accessible carrier for cryopreservation that is manifested in a very high post-defrostation survival. The invention also refers to a frozen complex of collagen cell carrier produced by means of the above method, as well as to the post-defrostation usage thereof, particularly for fundamental studies or in vitro test systems.

EFFECT: invention enables reaching the very high post-defrostation cell survival and producing cells and tissue complexes that are already attached to a mechanically strong and biologically compatible frame.
