FIELD: medicine and medical equipment, and concerns proximate estimation of the working capacity of a human-operator in working conditions and devices for its realization. SUBSTANCE: light stimuli in a random order are presented 50 times. The static characteristics of variational series of latent periods of the bimanual sensomotor reaction are determined. The stability criterion of reaction of the central nervous system (NA) is calculated. The working capacity index is determined. The testing time makes from 5 to 10 min. The device realizing the method has a control panel, switch, response button, timer, light signal source, two reaction time counters, computing unit and a display unit.
