FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemically modified hollow fibrous materials for extracorporeal removal of exotoxins, produced by pathogenic Escherichia coli, from protein-containing liquids. Substance contains modified hollow fibrous materials, selected from the group, which consists of polyamide, polysulphone, polyether, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyester and their derivatives and/or mixtures. Said hollow fibrous materials are modified and contain tentacles, which include anion-exchange groups, where anion-exchange groups contain group, consisting of synthetic polycation chains and polysynthetic polycation chains and natural polycation chains, where said synthetic, semi-synthetic and natural polycation chains are linear or branched.
EFFECT: effective removal of toxins from blood or plasma, which makes it possible to apply it in treatment of patients, who suffer from diseases, caused by Shiga toxins.
