FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: immune response factors: CRP (C-reactive protein), interleukins-1β, -4, -6, -10 (IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10), tumour necrosis factor α (TNFα), marker of atherosclerotic plaque destabilisation - soluble form of CD40 ligand (sCD40L) and markers of endothelial dysfunction - C-natriuretic peptide (CNP) and angiotensin-II (AT-II) are measured in blood serum. A presented mathematical model is used to calculate a prediction coefficient of the risk of the unfavourable outcome. If the derived coefficient is K>0.15, the risk of the unfavourable outcome is considered to be high, whereas the derived coefficient K<0.15 makes it possible to state the low risk of the unfavourable outcome. The presented method provides the more accurate prediction of the risk of the unfavourable outcomes during twelve months in the patients after an episode of acute coronary syndrome with concomitant type 2 diabetes mellitus; it can be used for an individual approach to each patient depending on the form of the disease.

EFFECT: method requires no additional equipment and specially trained personnel; it is simple and easy to implement.
