SYSTEM FOR PART MALFUNCTIONS DETECTION Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC G01H3/08

Abstract RU 2573705 C2

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: device and method are specified for detection of provoked by metal fatigue malfunction of the assembly having several flexible elements connected by engagement, to transfer power from one component to the other one, and assembly having cyclic frequency of work speed. The device contains at least one sensor installed in the direct vicinity to the said assembly, at that the sensor ensures the analogue signal corresponding to the acoustic signal spreading in the air and emitted by the assembly, devices for the analogue signal amplification; filtering devices; analogue-digital converter; devices for digital signals discretisation relatively to the work speed frequency of the assembly, and devices for digital signals analysis and assurance output upon one or more exact type of signals occurrence during work cycle. The method includes assurance of at least one sensor to monitor the acoustic emission if the said assembly spreading in air, at that the said sensor converts the acoustic signals spreading in air and emitted by the assembly in the analogue signals; analogue signal amplification; analogue signal filtering; analogue signals conversion to the digital signals; the digital signals discretisation relatively to the work speed frequency of the assembly, and analysis of the digital signals to determine occurrence of one or several exact types of the signals during the work cycle.

EFFECT: assurance of contact-free system of malfunction detection of the components using the acoustic method, that is able to detect the malfunction of the flexible assembly of the power transmission coupling.
