METHOD FOR PREDICTION OF CLINICAL COURSE OF ACUTE ISCHEMIC STROKE DURING 24 HOURS OF PERFORMING THROMBOLYTIC THERAPY Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC A61B8/00 A61B5/55

Abstract RU 2573801 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: diffuse-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW MRI) is performed. An area of infarction is determined. A total score is estimated by NIH stroke scale during 4.5 hours (NIH1 day) and 24 hours later (NIH2 day). A 2nd day total score decrement ΔNIH is determined by formula: ΔNIH2 day = NIH1 day - NIH2 day. If ΔNIH2 day is less than 2, the NIH-scale total score during the first post-infarction day is more than 14, and the area of the infarction is more than 1429 mm2, the clinical course of the acute ischemic stroke accompanying a thrombolytic therapy is considered unfavourable.

EFFECT: method enables the accurate prediction of the clinical course of ischemic stroke by taking into account the most informative clinical and tomographic markers of the clinical course of stroke in the thrombolytic therapy.
