FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method and device for copper anode affinage are described, according to them the coherent jet method is used to heat charges of melted Bessemer copper and/or metal scrap using the melting flame, sulphur oxidating in melted Bessemer copper, and oxygen restoration in melted Bessemer copper using the top blown gas flows in form of the coherent jet out of one or more monofunctional coherent-jet assembled lances. In this device and under this method the microprocessor-based controller is used, it functionally regulates the flow of oxygen-containing gas 62, inert gas, deoxidant and fuel 64 to the coherent-jet lance.
EFFECT: significant improvement of the copper production, decreasing of number of oxidating/restoration cycles, and minimising NOx discharges.
