FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used for refining molten steel by vacuum degassing. In compliance with this invention, powder is blown into molten steel at its simultaneous heating by flame generated at combustion of hydrocarbon gas at leading end of upper injection tuyere. Height of location of said upper tuyere is controlled at 1.0 to 7.0 m, and dynamic pressure P of jet flow ejected from said tuyere is controlled at 20.0 kPa or higher and 100.0 kPa or less.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to optimize conditions in which heated powders in the form of manganese ore and desulphurizing reagent based on CaO are injected with high consumption without lowering temperature of molten steel.
