FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine. A tension rod for fixation of posterior structures of a pelvic ring comprises a triangular recess on its front portion, further a transition piece extending into a threaded portion, which is presented with a right-handed buttress thread; in the distal direction, there is a non-threaded portion of the rod having a length of 30 mm and a diameter of 6 mm; the non-threaded portion extends into a cylindrical collar 20 mm long and 10 mm in diameter. An overall length of the rod is 205 mm. An end of a tail piece bears a thrust pad for a key. An outer diameter of the threaded portion is 7 mm; its inner diameter is 5 mm; a length of the threaded portion is 32 mm.

EFFECT: invention provides adjustable compression within an injury of the posterior structures of the pelvic ring, high stability of bone fragments that in turn leads to vascular plugging and arrest of haemorrhage and reduces a risk of post-traumatic complications.
