SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical industry. Method includes suspending iron oxide/hydroxide and oleic acid or its derivative in primary organic solvent; increase of suspension temperature with specified rate to maximal temperature from 340°C to 500°C; exposure of suspension at maximal temperature for approximately from 0.5 to 6 h; suspension cooling; addition of secondary organic solvent; precipitation of nanoparticles by addition of precipitating agent and removal of solvent excess; dispersion of nanoparticles in secondary organic solvent; mixing dispersion with polymer solvent; removal of secondary organic solvent.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain water-soluble iron oxide nanoparticles.
