FIELD: motor car construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the ICE fuel mix ignition systems. Claimed process comprises the fuel mix heating and ignition by the feed of high-energy pulse from laser source and focusing of the laser beam to initiate the optical discharge. It differs from known processes in that the laser energy as high-frequency laser pulses are distributed by waveguide dividers among the cylinders, their pistons staying at TDC, and fed to the combustion chamber centres. The laser energy is switched to the engine remaining cylinders at their pistons' TDC by the electro-optical switch in response of timing unit connected with the transducer fitted at the camshaft. The laser HF pulse packet is fed in response to the timing unit signal connected with the engine camshaft transducer at spark advance subject to the engine rpm.
EFFECT: higher engine efficiency, decreased harmful emissions.
