SUBSTANCE: layered element includes outer casing, positive electrode, negative electrode, separator, located between positive electrode and negative electrode, and electrically conductive current collector, passing through positive electrode, negative electrode and separator in axial direction of outer casing. Positive electrode, negative electrode and separator are piled in axial direction of outer casing. First electrode, which represents one of positive and negative electrodes, is in contact with inner surface of outer casing, but is not in contact with current collector. Second electrode, which represents the other electrode, is not in contact with outer casing, but is in contact with current collector. Outer edge of second electrode is covered with separator. Peripheral edge of hole, through which current collector passes, in first electrode is covered with separator.

EFFECT: prevention of electric short circuit, improvement of cooling degree and increase of reliability of layered element assembly.
