FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, specifically to biocompatible batteries for biomedical devices, and can be used, for example, in the manufacture of sealed and enclosed biocompatible energisation elements, which should not have toxic or traumatic effect on biological systems. Biocompatible energisation element comprises current leads, an anode, a cathode and an electrolyte, where in a layered structure, a cavity is made, which accommodates cathode material which forms the cathode and an energisation element shell, which is made of a polymer film to form a seal between the film layers and components of a biocompatible energisation element. Sealing layer can serve as a partition between the two surfaces of the sealed shell. Connection of the surfaces of the sealing layer completes the creation of the housing together with the sealed shell. Methods for sealing and enclosing biocompatible energisation elements are disclosed. In some examples, methods of sealing and enclosing biocompatible energisation elements include thermal welding, laser welding, or both, wherein the layered structure is covered with a polymer film capable of adhering to itself and adjacent layers, providing reliable sealing. In some examples, the field of application of the device and methods includes any biocompatible device or product that requires batteries.
EFFECT: longer life of biocompatible energisation elements in biocompatible devices.
