FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: technique involves microscopic, morphometric and histochemical examinations of longitudinal histologic sections of an arterial bifurcation. If observing at least three signs, including: an increase in an arterial junction length of more than 370 mcm, observed metachromasy of a basic substance in the arterial junction and adventitia, decomplexation and non-uniform thickness of collagen fibres, fragmentation and lysis of an internal elastic membrane and elastic fibres of the adventitia, the bifurcation failure of the vessels of the cerebral arterial circle is diagnosed.
EFFECT: using the claimed technique ensures providing the more accurate diagnosing of the bifurcation failure of the vessels of the cerebral arterial circle by the integrated assessment of variations in histological signs.
