METHOD FOR INHIBITING THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTIMAL HYPERPLASIA IN THE AREA OF DISTAL ANASTOMOSIS IN AN EXPERIMENT ON PIGS OF THE LARGE WHITE BREED, MALE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC G09B23/28 A61B17/11 A61K31/00 A61P35/00 

FIELD: experimental medicine; cardiovascular surgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to study the development of non-intimal hyperplasia and methods for its inhibition in laboratory animals. The superficial femoral artery (SFA) is simultaneously crossed on both hind limbs of a Large White breed male pig. An arterial anastomosis of the proximal and distal sections of the SBA is formed according to the "end-to-side" type. On the left limb in the area of anastomosis periadveticially an application with drug impregnation is imposed, and the application is carried out using a semi-permeable membrane, on which a solution of paclitaxel is applied at the rate of 3 μg of paclitaxel per 1 membrane. One side of the membrane is covered with medical vaseline, the membrane is placed in the area of the vascular anastomosis with the side free from vaseline, to the vascular wall. Similarly, an application without medicinal impregnation is applied to the right limb. After 2 weeks, repeated operations are performed to collect the reconstruction area for histological examination.

EFFECT: method provides isolation of the application from the surrounding tissues with a cytostatic drug, for the penetration of the drug into the vessel wall only, excluding its toxic effect on the surrounding tissues, which will also allow for a more uniform effect of the drug on the "problem" area of the vessel, provide an increase in the duration of the patency of the zones of vascular reconstructions after open surgical interventions and a decrease in the activity of neointimal hyperplasia in the area of the anastomosis.
