FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves combined working of plasmochemical reactor where H2S is decomposed with hydrogen and sulfur formation and block for diaphragm separation of gaseous mixture H2S-H2. Process of hydrogen sulfide decomposition is carried out at the conversion degree 50% <α′/H2S < 90 % in plasmachemical reactor, and gaseous mixture H2S-H2 prepared after compression is fed to the inlet of diaphragm block of separation. Isolation and concentration of hydrogen in residual flow at separation degree is occurred in the diaphragm block of separation. Penetrated flow with diaphragm block of separation enriched with H2S is recirculated to the inlet of plasmachemical reactor where its mixed with the parent flow of hydrogen sulfide. Sulfur is removed by condensation and trapping system. EFFECT: decreased total energy consumption for hydrogen production. 1 tbl
