FIELD: power engineering; communication lines with self-carrying fiber-optic cables. SUBSTANCE: vibration damper has four counterweights in the form of bodies of revolution of different length, two flexible damping members, and clamp. Counterweights are secured on ends of damping member in parallel to each other and are chosen so that their mass were unequal; damping members are disposed in same horizontal plane and are assembled of 19 steel spiral wires. Each counterweight is mounted in assembled condition at certain rated distance from vibration damper suspension point. EFFECT: enhanced frequency response and damping efficiency in actual resonant-frequency band. 4 cl, 3 dwg
