FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil refinery. The method options mean that regardless of the process diagram of the delayed coking for different types of an input feed stock graphic relationship is determined experimentally for the volatile substances content in an average sample of a coking additive from the temperature of the secondary feed stock with different density at the coking chamber input. Then for the set content of volatile substances as per the determined graphic relationship the temperature for the secondary feed stock with a known density is determined at the coking chamber input, and it is heated in temperature range of 455-485°C.
EFFECT: inventions ensure producing the coking additive with a specified content of volatile substances, and extend functional possibilities of the method.
